Why Zira?
Zira is inspired by jeera A humble spice that may not steal the spotlight, but brings every dish to life. We believe cookware should be the same: understated, essential, and quietly powerful.
“We’re not here to be trendy. We’re here to be trusted.”
Personal Story The Heart of Zira
Growing up in a joint family, I was raised by three incredible women - my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother. Each had her own way of showing love, but in our home, it almost always began with food.
I still remember the excitement I’d feel when I knew paneer masala was being made for lunch. Sunday lunches were sacred aloo parathas with butter melting on top, curd on the side, laughter around the table. And on random weekdays, there’d be “special items” like Mom's pizza and pasta that showed up without occasion. Those were the best surprises.
“Love, plated and served”
- Pratham, Founder at Zira
“Every meal tells a story. We’re here to support your with cookware that honours love, food, and family.”
Because when you cook with love, you deserve cookware that reflects it.
Shift in Cooking Culture
Indian kitchens have seen quiet revolutions from brass to cast iron, steel to aluminum, and finally, to non-stick. It promised ease, and it delivered. But at what cost?
Chipped coatings, chemical leaching, and surfaces that gave up too soon made us question the tools we trust
Now, we believe love deserves better. Because when meals are made with care, cookware should carry the same intention
